To assist the dental practitioner in the many aspects of clinic management, a list of resources has been drawn up.
This list is by no means exhaustive. Members are encouraged to inform the Practice Management Committee (ethics@sda.org.sg) of any new sites or articles that would be useful to fellow practitioners.
If you find that there are any dead links or other faults, please inform the webmaster at admin@sda.org.sg. We need your help to make this resource site current and useful.

The guideline for the retention of dental records in paper form, or hard copies, is a minimum of 6 years.
Clinics should consider keeping records for 15 years in the following cases:
The Ministry recommends electronic records.
As a guide, electronic records are to be kept for the patient’s lifetime plus another 6 years as legal action can be taken up to 6 years after a patient’s demise.
As it is not always possible for clinics to know when a patient has passed away, the recommendation is to keep it for the expected lifespan of the patient. As the life expectancy for Singaporeans has been pegged at 110, the recommended period is 110+6 = 116 years
